ATTENTION - My Canadian Friends -- A word about shipping, please.

      • Can we speak plainly about shipping from my small town in North Carolina to your place in Canada?  We are offering you free shipping with this item.  Free does not mean fast.  The simple fact is, we're shipping this ring to you by USPS First Class Mail, which is good for a 3-4 day turnaround down here, but often a good three weeks to you up yonder.  On top of that, there is no tracking number available for it, so you have to trust me when I email you to tell you it's on it's way.  Now, out of the thousands of items I've shipped to Canada, I've had only one or two get lost in the mail.  It works well, it's just slow.
      • Right now, it's winter, and sometimes there's bad weather that can be a factor.  Then there's Candadian Customs, which sometimes is a quick in-and-out but sometimes just sits there for a week or two.  For the life of me, I can't seem to find out why, but it does.  On top of that, some of you live in some mighty remote areas -- often hundreds of miles from a major airport.
      • Shipping sometimes only takes about 7-10 days, but don't count on it.  It could just as easily take 3-4 weeks. Please just be clear you understand this before you order.   The simple fact is I don't have any more control over the postal system than I do the weather, yet I still get the occasional negative feedback from one of y'all because it didn't get there in 2 weeks.  If you can't wait for it,  then just let this one go and don't buy it!
      • OR, if you want, we'll be happy to upgrade your shipping.  I highly recommend USPS Express Mail.  It's less than a 1 week turnaround, and it's got a great tracking number.  It's kind of costly, to be sure, but it is fast and dependable.  If that's too much, Priority Mail almost always gets there in about 2 weeks.  It has a Delivery Confirmation number that will confirm to you that I have indeed shipped your item.

Payment

  • We accept payment by PayPal and credit card.
  • Immediate payment is required.
  • We charge 7 3/4% sales tax in North Carolina. State taxes will be calculated at checkout.

  • We offer a 14 day 100% money back, totally unconditional guarantee on these earrings (less original shipping, if any).
  • Buyer pays return shipping.
  • No restocking fees.

14 Day Money Back

Just what is Created Ruby?

Wow.  Where do I start?  OK, first, you need to know that a ruby is a red sapphire, and that all sapphires are called Corundum, and are basically Aluminum Oxide.  There are subtle variations in the chemistry that cause all those pretty colors, such as red, pink, blue, green and a bunch of shades in between.  Our red is a bright red.

This is old technology.  If you recall, even your grandfather had a "Crystal" face on his watch, and it was a lab-grown sapphire that was that Crystal.

A full 9.0 on the 10 point Mohs Hardness Scale, this ruby is never going to scratch, unless you're fond of dragging your rings along concrete walls or something silly like that.

Full 1 Year Warranty

In the event of failure of any of the materials of your jewelry, including but not limited to broken prongs, failed sizing solders, etc. SylvaRocks will, at our expense repair or replace said item of jewelry.  For more information, email us at SylvaRocks@aol.com.

Long Description

The Mounting:  This ring is  made of 925 Sterling Silver, and is stamped as such.  There should never be any problems with tarnish or discoloration.  This really isn't a complicated ring.  It is simple, yet elegant and shows your Ruby off nicely.

Made in America: You know, on one hand, I believe that quality is quality no matter the country of origin. However, I've also always held the notion that here in America, quality has always been a positive, identifying character trait, sort of like honesty and integrity.  Things we're taught from birth that are a part of who we are and that show in the products we produce.  Stuff bought in bulk from overseas, made by people earning pathetically low wages -- well, it's not going to be the same product, now is it?  This is one of the "corners" I'm talking about earlier.  We make everything here in North Carolina, not China, Thailand, India or where ever.
