The stone is a Bright Red Garnet, mined in Mozambique, Africa. Mozambique Garnets are the best you can get, and are clearly superior to those mined in either Brazil or Orissa, India.
The ring itself is bordering on simply too large for many women to wear, but if you can handle a big'un, you're gonna love this! This is a fasinating braided filigree mounting that holds the 14x10mm Mystic Fire in with 10 prongs. What a cool ring! Great, solid, and good for everyday wear, but will do nicely for evening wear if you've a mind to.
