Well, a number of years ago, in a mining district of India called Padparadsha, they used to find a really intense reddish orange Sapphire. You'll still see one occasionaly come out of there, but every one I've ever seen had ugly written all over it -- cloudy, cracked, oxidized and weathered. In fact, I've never ever seen a good one, but I hear the older guys talk about them with reverence -- it was apparantly a spectacular stone.
Anyway, we've found a source for the same stone, except it's lab created. It's a bright reddish/orange that is a dead ringer for the original -- totally eye clean and well cut. Our pictures just don't do this stone justice -- it's like the stones are on fire. Flash and sparkle like you've never seen.
Set in a delicate, Fleur d'lis, filigree style ring with tarnish resistant Sterling Silver.
