Rainbow moonstone is sort of hard to describe;  A pretty, translucent stone.  It's actually not a moonstone at all, but a Labradorite Feldspar.  It throws a light blue to light yellow sheen. Typically, it is never "clean", by ordinary standards -- there are all sorts of veils, inclusions and stuff (like that technical term?) that gives it it's character.

It really is a very pretty stone.  Most of the time, it's not clear enough or clean enough to facet, but the material we have is, and it looks great..  We think these are some of the best we've ever seen.

In plain English, this is simply a very pretty stone, and it's well mounted in this gold ring. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it.

The sides have a nice wide filigree pattern, allowing the stone to stand on it's own merits.

This ring just "feels" good, and looks great!  It is low domed, and won't hang up in your jeans pockets.  It's just simply a pretty, and a comfy ring.
