One of our lightweighter mountings, this ring still comes it at 2.3 grams. A very pretty rope filigree pattern, with an interesting sawtooth bezel.
The stone is a genuine Mozambique Garnet, cut in the checkerboard pattern. This stone throws a deep red color. I hand pick these stones for the color, because I personally think prune-juice colored stones, or reddish brown stones are ugly and I won't buy them.
Good garnets, in my humble opinion, should lean toward either Rhodalite (pinkish) or Pyrope (ruby red) in coloring, and that's what I pick. So, a good, deep red Garnet in a pretty, everyday ring. Get one for you and your daughter!
