I Hate Peridot! I Hate Peridot! I Hate Peridot!
You guessed it, I'm an August Baby, and I got stuck with Apple Green, when I'd just as soon have, hmmm, Blue Zircon -- matches my baby blues...
Anyway, the point is, I won't buy Peridot unless it's killer Peridot. I won't buy the stuff that has brown tinges to it, and I don't buy the stuff that looks all yellowy. (I wonder if I can use yellowy in a scrabble game? :-) Oh, and I won't buy the stuff that's all full of carbon or those flat lily pad thingies.
With history dating back some 3500 years, Peridot is found in many parts of the world. Vibrant green Manchurian Peridot is mined in northeastern China, historically known as Manchuria. Manchurian Peridot has a bright green color which is completely natural and untreated.
This ring is quite elegant, having two CZ's (5 pts each) mounted on either side of the center stone. Smooth flowing lines tell the story well. Wear this one when going out on the town.
