This stone is a Bright Red Garnet, mined in Mozambique, Africa.  I hand pick every one of my Garnets, looking for good color (I hate prune juice looking stones), good clarity, and a medium darkness. 

It is solidly built.  Look closely at the prongs, and the rest of the setting -- we use a good strong structure so that your jewelry will last and last. 

There's no reason why this stone and mounting shouldn't last you for years, and dazzle every day of it.
