This stone is so hot! It's not ruby red, and it's not garnet red, it's --- well, it's Crimson Red. At a glance, it could pass as either, but it's not.
This is a natural Topaz that has been treated in much the same way as all of the other Mystic Topazes.
The stones are set into a wraptight or cinchmount setting, essentially a variation on the bezel setting, allowing the most show of stone for the least expense in gold.
