I'm really picky about my Amethysts -- generally, dark, but not TOO dark a purple (you just have to have light be able to get into the stone and bounce back out!) and often with red or blue highlights, depending on the stone and the direction of the light.

These stones are set into a simple sterling silver post mounting, allowing the most show of stone for the least expense.  It's a good stable setting that doesn't set you back a month just to get one. 

There's no reason why these stone shouldn't last you for years, and dazzle every day of it.
