If you like Smoky Quartz, you're gonna love these.  I hand pick every Smoky Quartz I set, and I'm very picky.  I don't like them really dark, 'cause light can't get in there and bounce back at you.  I CAN set very light ones if that's what you prefer, but if left up to me, the stones are medium, and selected for good cut.

This hefty Smoky Quartz is set into a simple Sterling Silver basket mounting.  The stone weighs a healthy 6 carats, and the mounting is what you'd expect to find holding such a nice stone. 

Look closely at the prongs, and the rest of the setting -- we use a nice, thick structure (you don't want massive, but you don't want cheap stamped out stuff either) so that your jewelry will last and last. (Your daughter will love it when she inherits this from you.)
