If you like Smoky Quartz, you're gonna love this! 

I hand pick every Smoky Quartz I set, and I'm very picky.  I don't like them really dark, 'cause light can't get in there and bounce back at you.  I CAN set very light ones if that's what you prefer, but if left up to me, the stones are medium, and selected for good cut.

This hefty Smoky Quartz is set into a simple 14k gold basket mounting, weighs in the neighborhood of 22 carats, and measures 20x15mm.

You will notice that this stone is cut differently.  This is a concave cut.  The facets on the back, which are normally flat, are concave.  This results in a gazillion times more life and fire and sparkle and goosebumps and I don't know what all else, but it's incredible!  We just got in a huge parcel of these stones, and are converting all of our Smoky Quartz to this cut.  ANY of our Smoky Quartz Store Items can have this cut if you want, even if the pictures say otherwise.  It'll take a month or so for us to get all new pictures in, but in the meantime, request this new cut, and we can do it for you.

Now, look closely at the prongs, and the rest of the setting -- we use a nice, thick structure so that your jewelry will last and last. (Your daughter will love it when she inherits this from you.)
