OK, let' s get one thing straight.
I was born in August -- and I hate Peridot. I'd rather have been born in March, maybe, so I'd have stones to match my baby blues... but no, I got stuck with this icky green color.
So, when I go shopping for Peridot, I've got to get the best color. I don't buy yellowy looking stuff, and I don't buy the brownish looking stuff. I buy GREEN Peridot. Grass green, I think you might call it -- but for sure, green. Actually, it's a spectacular stone if it's cut right.
So, I go for cut, too. One of the really good things I can say about Peridot is that if it's cut well, it sparkles like few other stones on the planet. It can actually get downright goosebumpy, if you really wanna know. AND coming from from an avowed Peridot hater, that's saying something.
This bracelet is mounted with 17 10x8mm (3ct) natural Peridot, with a combined weight of about 50 carats.
These stones work very well with this bracelet, and in the ones I've made so far, they're head-turners. You can't go into any store anywhere and find a bracelet like this. Which means that when you wear this, heads will snap. Your friends will turn the same grass green color of your bracelet, and for some reason, I think that's funny. |
