Paraiba Topaz is a brazillian topaz that has been treated to look like a very rare and exotic tourmaline that is mined deep within Paraiba, Brazil. Being rare, it is very expensive at easily $5,000 per carat
Since we can't afford those (and maybe not you either?) we have secured the Paraiba Topaz that looks ever so close to the Tourmaline. Really intense color for a fraction of the cost.
Measuring 12x10mm, it weighs a whopping 6 carats. The mounting is a very pretty filigree basket, with filigreed upper shanks as well. It's a good, solid mounting; 3.8 grams, and very sturdy.
