12x8mm Pear (teardrop) ParaibaTopaz!!

OK, so just what IS Paraiba Topaz?  Well, it is a natural Topaz, mined in Brazil, and has been treated to emulate a special Tourmaline mined in the state of Paraiba, Brazil.  That unique Tourmaline is very rare, and very expensive -- currently costing around $4-5,000/carat for stones of this size.

Which brings us to THIS stone, the Paraiba Topaz, aptly named because it's color so closely matched the original Tourmaline.  A Blue/Green Teal sort of color, somewhat like an Apatite -- this stone is well cut, and throws really cool Paraiba color.

These stones are the newest addition to our growing earring line. Set into wraptight (or cinchmount) mountings, they show the most stone for the least expense in gold.
