Whoever said "Pigeon Blood" color must have been one sick sick gem dealer. But, yeah, it's got that kind of color.

When you just gotta have red, and don't feel like coughing up the $5,000 for the real thing, these lab created rubies are just the thing.  Intense, bright red -- heck, I can't get the camera to catch the color -- they glow under the camera flash.  But I can tell you this, they are red, red, red -- and well cut, throwing gobs of red fire.

This hefty Created Ruby is set into a simple 14k gold basket mounting.  The stone weighs in the neighborhood of 12-13 carats, and measures 16x12mm.  It is roughly the size of a nickel or a dime.
