Quantum Cut London Blue Topaz

The Quantum (or Concave) cut is a fairly new cut, allowing far more light and sparkle than ordinary flat cuts.  It truly transforms a nice looking stone into something fantastic.

The ring itself is heavy with a good feel to it. The stone measures 12x10 mm, and weighs in the neighborhood of 6 to 6.5carats.  The mounting is a very pretty basket with draped sides.  It's a nice, heavy mounting; 3.8 grams, and very sturdy. The sides have a wide filligree pattern and enhances the stone very nicely while allowing it to stand on it's own.
