The stone measures 16x12 mm, and weighs in the neighborhood of 13 carats.  The mounting is a very pretty, heavy filigree.  It's a good, solid mounting; 5 grams, and very sturdy.

I've been wondering for a while now what the "next big stone" is going to be, and I'm sure this is it.  Pink is hot this year, and this is the most blazing pink I have ever seen in my life!  It's not just pink -- this is pink with attitude!
