This stone is so hot! It's not ruby red, and it's not garnet red, it's --- well, it's Crimson Red. At a glance, it could pass as either, but it's not.
This is a natural Topaz that has been treated in much the same way as all of the other Mystic Topazes. I've been selling Mystic Topaz for 8 years now, and have sold well over 30,000 of them, and have only had three ever come back with color fading, and those were all due to harsh chemicals (don't soak your ring in Oxy-10, duh..).
This Crimson Topaz is set into a simple 14k gold basket mounting. The stone weighs in the neighborhood of 7 carats, and measures 14x10mm.
Look closely at the prongs, and the rest of the setting -- we use a nice, thick structure (you don't want massive, but you don't want cheap stamped out stuff either) so that your jewelry will last and last. (Your daughter will love it when she inherits this from you.) |
