OK, so just what IS Paraiba Topaz?  Well, it is a natural Topaz, mined in Brazil that has been treated to emulate a special Tourmaline mined in the state of Paraiba, Brazil.  That unique Tourmaline is very rare and very expensive -- currently costing around $2-3,000/carat for stones of this size. 

Which brings us to THIS stone, the Paraiba Topaz, aptly named because it's color so closely matched the original Tourmaline.  A dark Blue/Green Teal sort of color -- this stone is well cut, and throws really cool Paraiba fire.

These stones are set into a simple Sterling Silver Post Earring Mounting, allowing the most show of stone for the least expense.  It's a good stable setting that doesn't set you back a month just to get one.  There's no reason why these stone shouldn't last you for years, and dazzle every day of it.
